Special Mentions For

Missing from the list are H.G. Wells, Dr Seus, Henry Treece, Herman Hesse, particularly the Glass Bead Game. I excluded anything like Hitch Hikers Guide to the Galaxy as they originated in other media. The other poetry book I would like to have included is The Mersey Sound, Roger McGough, Henry Patten (and a third poet I forget!) anthology. Also missing from the list is Ralph Steadmans irreverent satire of Leonardo da Vinci's autobiography, I Leonardo.
