We stayed at Ferme de la Chapelle in Virey sous Bar near Troyes on 14 August. Dinner on the veranda consisted of the farm’s own produce: Home-made paté; crisp salad; fragrantly herbed roast chicken, lamb, and beef; cheeses at an aromatically correct temperature; Cereamy desserts. Generously complemented with local Bourgogne wine. The best dinner we have had in any rural bed-and-breakfast accommodation. |
