Training camp - building pontoon bridges

[Poppy Appeal 2005 - register for a digital poppy on your website]

Assessing the situation.

A misty river with some trees in the background. Several men stand on the bank, and some in the river, assessing how to bridge the river using a collection of planks and empty oil drums.

Putting the pieces together.

As they construct the pontoon and it swings out across the river, they use shovels as paddles to steady the partially completed structure.

Discovering that it isn't as easy as it looks!

Looks like it capsized! One man stands, thigh deep in the water, contemplating a mess of planks and oil drums which no longer resemble a bridge.
