And these two bundles of fun are my kids. And as any mum will tell you,
kids almost always keep you at the end of your tether.
You know, the other day I heard all this clattering and went to the end of the paddock only to find the pair of them jumping up and down on the roof of a parked car, and there was nothing I could do - I couldn't squeeze through the hole in the hedge. It was lucky the black dog alerted the humans, those cars are slippery things!
We are all of the British Saanan breed of goat here, and are employed to mow the paddocks and NOT the garden (but from time to time it just looks so tasty!!). I am from a long lineage of British Saanan goats - my mother mowed this grass, and her mother before her.
The goathouse is huge, you could have a party in it, although it does get a bit chilly in the winter. The recording studio is right next to our shed and sometimes we get kept awake until the small hours. We have learned, though, that if we make a lot of noise when they are only singing or playing very quietly, someone comes and fills up our hay-net.
The chickens are pretty stupid though. Walking back to the shed in the twilight of one winter evening we tripped over a load of them. If they can't get back to their house for some reason or another and it starts to go dark, they just power down - right where they are - and don't seem to even hear you coming.
