SELL-OUT SHOW PROVES WORLDWIDE ATTRACTION

With just one month to go, the new Aquaculture International 98 Exhibition & Conference, running from March 18 to 20, is a sell-out. More than 220 exhibitors from 18 countries will fill 2300sq metres of stand space, completely filling Hall 3 at Glasgow's Scottish Exhibition & Conference Centre.

The brand new event - the first of its kind in the UK - will be visited on the first day by UK fisheries minister Elliot Morley, while Scottish fisheries minister Lord Sewell will tour the exhibition the following day.

With so much to see, advance visitor bookings are running at a high level. Enquiries have been received from fish farming professionals in more than 30 countries, ensuring that the event will have a truly international flavour.

Nations represented reflect the size and scale of the coldwater aquaculture industry worldwide: Australia, Canada, Chile, Denmark, England, Faroe, France, Germany, Greece, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, the Netherlands, Norway, Spain, Sweden and the United States (including an Hawaiian company) will all be represented at Aquaculture International 98.

Host nation Scotland will naturally make a strong showing, and both its leading industry bodies - the Scottish Salmon Growers Association and the Association of Scottish Shellfish Growers - will be present.
