The Rotary Clubs of Huntingdon, St Ives, Ramsey, Huntingdon Cromwell and Huntingdon Hinchingbrooke have all contributed to the full cost of the new club sign which we hope will herald a new era of expansion. Paul Hall, head coach and international judge, is seen crouched in the centre. Rotarians from the left are John Lowey, IPP of St Ives, David Wallwork, IPP of Ramsey, David Cole, President of the Rotary Club of St Ives, Margaret Hebblethwaite, President of the Rotary Club of Huntingdon, Peter Beckett and Mike Baker of Huntingdon, both very involved with the ongoing activities of the gym club and Michael Thilo, President of the Rotary Club of Huntingdon Cromwell.
The Rotary Club of Huntingdon has supported this hugely successful Gymnastic Club for a number of years including money for bursaries to help young people to make full use of the facilities at the club.
The success of the club has been in terms of 'Gymnastics for all'. Members of the elite squad win national and international competitions on a regular basis and there are weekly clubs for young people of all abilities as well as for groups with special needs. The waiting list for membership is now very large and the club has plans for major extensions which the Rotary Club is keen to support.
