The Senators are providing a training scheme for flag football and there will be training sessions at Gateshead Stadium
Flag football is a fast growing, non contact variant of American football, long popular in the USA, and gaining in popularity here. It means that young people can learn all about the game in safety.
The only equipment needed is track suit and trainers, everything else is supplied.
Junior TrainingJunior training on Sunday will take place at Gateshead Stadium commencing 11.30 a.m. until 1.30 p.m. training is due to be held on GRASS so players are required to bring suitable footwear, however we would ask all players to bring suitable footwear for Astroturf. |
Junior TrainingThis week's session (12 Feb) will run from 11.30 p.m. until 1.30 p.m. on the Astroturf and then possibly grass weather permitting.Players are asked to bring suitable footwear for both surfaces. Newcastle Raiders then have a home game kick off 1.00 p.m. at Gateshead Stadium which all players are invited to attend free of charge. |
Youth Flag Football TournamentGateshead Senators are holding a youth flag football tournament on Superbowl Sunday(5th Feb.) for their fledgling youth teams .The Senators have arranged the tournament due to the phenomenal success of their youth teams which now boast over 60 players. The tournament which will involve teams from around the UK is to be held at Prudhoe High School and will commence at 11.00 p.m. until 4.00 p.m. Players requiring transport are asked to meet at Newcastle Central Station at 9.30 am.
