Introducing our regular groups
Other useful links
PathfindersPathfinders is a Sunday group at the Priory Church which is for you if you are in the first three years or so of secondary school. What we do will depend upon what you want to do, and the aim is to help you to find you way in the wider world you enter at your age. Pathfinders, like our groups for younger children, is part of a national organisation and you will be joining a very large group of young people from all over England who together are seeking the way to live as they approach adulthood. Pathfinders meet on Sunday evenings in term time at 7.30, normally at the Vicarage. The programme of activities will vary widely but each term will include some social events - some of them outings - and some study. We aim to study the things you want to know about, things about the world which matter to you, and things about you, too, if you like! We welcome those who are already in years 7, 8 and 9 and also those who are in their last term of year 6. From Easter, if you are already in our Explorers group and are going to secondary school next term, you can be in both groups until the summer holiday if you wish! Because it is in the evening, those who are in the choir can begin to take a fuller part in singing on Sunday mornings, but if you are one of those people who leave their homework until Sunday evening, you will have to make some lifestyle changes! (Sorry about that, but we had to find some time from somewhere!) If you would like to be involved with the choir, or helping with the young children's groups or any other ministry on Sunday mornings you would be very welcome. Programme for This TermThe programme will include a social evening per month. At each of the other sessions at the Vicarage there is a ‘tuck shop’ in the middle of the evening with sweets, snacks and soft drinks on sale, and games afterwards. There is no membership fee or subscription, but there will be an opportunity to make a voluntary contribution. We finish at 9pm each Sunday. Autumn 2006
