- Food: excellent
- Staff: friendly
- Entertainment: skittle alley
- Beer: Guinness "good"; Bass "mediocre, bland, lack of condition"; Wadsworth 6x "very nice", "OK"; Hardy Country "I thought it was alright, very flowery"
Ploughboy Inn, Greenhall
- Brewery: Bass
- Food: average
- Staff: friendly
- Beer: Guinness "awful"
The Crown, up the hill from Churchill Traffic Lights***
- Staff: friendly
- Beer: Guinness "good"; Top Hat "I can't find words to describe it, it's so good"; Palmer's IPS "Twice as good as everyone else's because I had twice as much"
Others tried
- Moon, Crown (Wells): consensus that Priddy better pubs than Wells
- Britannia, Slab House: beer good in both these
