This is my bike as it was when I bought it
in August 97. The picture was taken outside the famous bikers cafe at
Sherburn- in- Elmet, Yorkshire. Sherburn
is a regular meeting point for bikers of all ages and allegiances. The
usual gathering days are Sunday, Wednesday and Thursday, although it is
open at other times. On a summers evening it has had two thousand bikes
role into the tiny, normally sleepy village. If you want to make a trip
there it is on the B1222 between Leeds and York at map reference OS 105:
493/337. They do the hottest coffee in the world, good tucker and it has
been a bike rendezvous since the early 1950's. Well woth a ride out.
Since this picture was taken, the bike has
seen a few changes. The previous owner must have used it as an everyday
bike,
no problem, but it was very dirty and a little
scruffy.
