DAYS OF WILD chronicles all the important events in Prince/O(+>'s life and career, until January 1st 2000. Taking the form of a year-by-year diary, it provides an exhaustive record of releases, recording sessions, concerts, TV appearances, interviews, etc. The book was previously published in 1990 and 1993 as Prince: A Documentary. This new edition has been completely revised, rewritten and fully updated to include all minor and major events until 2000.

Accompanying the book is a CD-ROM, containing 22 issues of UPTOWN magazine,

many of which are completely sold-out and no longer available, plus 10 more recent articles from the magazine. The appendix also contains 50 memorabilia and collectors' items, as well as an exhaustive appendix. The entire UPTOWN staff has been involved in the project, researching and contributing information and examining texts. According to UPTOWN's editor-in-chief, Per Nilsen, DAYS OF WILD is infinitely more accurate, comprehensive, and detailed than both the 1990 and 1993 versions of A Documentary: "There's no comparison. We've unearthed so many new details and unknown info

since the last edition was published. For one thing, DAYS OF WILD contains much more details on when/where different songs were recorded and which musicians play on the songs. This particular aspect - recording data - is one of the strengths of DAYS OF WILD. I always felt this was one of the weaknesses of A Documentary, since I didn't have enough information back then. Anyone who read DanceMusicSexRomance [published by Firefly, 1999] andwant to find out what happened after the book ends (1987) should be interested in DAYS OF WILD. We interviewed several engineers and musicians that The Artist has worked with in the '90s, which resulted in new insight on many projects."

DAYS OF WILD will interest all Prince/O(+> fans, friends, followers, and collectors, who want to know more about things like...

* The original projected Rave Un2 The Joy Fantastic album was assembled in October 1988 (yes, there was a project in between Lovesexy and Batman!). Besides the title track, it included "God Is Alive," "The Voice Inside," and "Stimulation." Which were the remaining tracks, three of which surfaced on Graffiti Bridge?

* Prince's "Batman Theme" was rejected by the Batman filmmakers. This

instrumental was in fact one of the tracks originally intended for the

Madhouse 24 project (recorded in December 1988) - which Madhouse track was this?

* Why was the projected Madhouse 26 album (not 24!), assembled in

September 1989, shelved?

* Only three songs were newly written and recorded for Graffiti Bridge

- which songs? And which song was recorded when filming was almost finished?

* Why did Prince and Ingrid Chavez have a falling-out over her 1991

album, which led Prince to withdrew from the project? And what is the

significance of the album title, May 19, 1992?

* Who were involved in the mysterious MPLS project?

These are but a few questions that will be answered...
