The Bands Database:
It was becoming difficult to remember which bands were worth seeing again, and which needed avoiding. Thus this database was created. Most of the fields are pretty straightforward but some should be explained.
Venues: Areas where you are likely to find them playing
Influences Include: In the case of covers bands these are usually the original artists of their most memorable song. In the case of wannabes, It's just what we thought they sounded like. Bands own opinions of themselves are not sought.
The Ratings: We give each band a rating, purely for our own reference (so we know which one's to see again!!)
5 - Excellent, should attempt to see them at all opportunities
4 - Repeatable experience, but not every weekend - Please!!!
3 - May see again, give them a couple of months to improve
NB: A rating of 3 may also be given to band who were technically competent, but did not play music to our taste
2 - Shan't go again (often assigned to bad band playing a good set or a good band playing a bad set)
1 - Oh dear! (explicit details usually given)
0 - Unratable they might have been good, but we couldn't rate them (too far removed from the N&G Rock site's genre i.e. no drum kit!)
