The Owl and Falconry Centre is situated at Appuldurcombe House near Wroxall on the Isle of
Wight. The centre has been open for 2 or 3 years and at the present time is in its infancy. This in no way detracts from
the pleasyre I had from my visit. The centre is expanding and the birds are well looked after in clean conditions. The falconer
knew his job and was very informative. There are facilities for flying the birds inside in bad weather. Falconry courses for
either one day or a weekend with accom0dation are available on a pre booked scheme. Visit their web site at Appuldurcombe for further details.
The centre is open February to September and falconry courses available from October to April.
The centre is well worth a visit on any holiday to the Island. For further information on other island activities go to
Wight on Line.
