Exchange Street.

Hazel Grove and District Model Railway Society.

Exchange Street is a small 00 layout consisting of a station and fiddle yard.

The layout represents a terminus in an urban setting, the emphasis being on passenger, parcels and mail handling facilities. It has a small goods shed, but most freight would have been dealt with at a larger yard away from the terminus. There is also a loco spur.

The track has been laid and ballasted. Most of the electrical wiring has been installed. The fiddle yard has been constructed using a turntable to save length and cost.

The buildings and scenery are in the early stages of construction. Progress has been slow on this due to a shortage of bodies, so volunteers are welcome.
