• New: Standard Cryptographic Algorithm Naming - an attempt to enumerate and give references for many commonly used cryptographic algorithms.
• New: DeCSS - this program, which can be used to bypass the CSS encryption system for DVD, is mirrored here as a protest against the legal action being taken by the MPAA (Motion Picture Association of America) against its developer, Jon Johansen.
• SID - a protocol for secure communications. SID provides many advantages over other protocols, especially when there is a possibility of private keys being compromised.
