National Collections and Heather Gardens

National Reference Collections

 

Royal Horticultural Society, Wisley, Surrey, England

Over 800 cultivars can be found growing in nine large beds. A key to location of the cultivars has been sited at the entrance to help identification. A copy of this key is on sale in the bookshop on site. The garden is open all year.

Cherrybank Gardens, Perth, Scotland

This superb 18 acre site houses some 50,000 plants of over 900 cultivars. Open April to December. Opening hours are:
Mar to Oct
Mon to Sat 10 am - 5pm,  Sun 12 noon - 5pm
Nov & Dec
Mon to Sat 10am - 4pm, Sun 12 noon - 4 pm
Jan & Feb
Thur to Sat 10 am - 4pm, Sun 12 noon - 4pm

Closed 25th & 26th Dec, 1st & 2nd Jan

Heather Gardens open to the public

Harlow Carr Gardens, Harrogate, North Yorkshire, England

Landscaped heather beds in the public gardens. Open all year.

The Garden at The Bannut

2½ acres of formal and informal gardens featuring heathers is set in the beautiful Hereford countryside with lovely views to the Malvern Hills.. Open May to September.
