Pale pink flowers, Jun-Oct, with grey green foliage. It has a prostrate habit with curling stems, hence its name. An interesting novelty plant suitable for tubs, window boxes and hanging baskets. Found by Charles Nelson, author and leading Irish botanist near Roundstone, Co. Galway, Ireland. Ht. 10-15cm. Spd. 31-45cm.
Bright rose flowers, Jul-Oct, with grey green foliage. Low bushy habit. Found on west coast of Denmark, south of Hwidesande by the then Chairman of the German Heather Society, Gesellschaft der Heidefreunde. Ht. 10-15cm. Spd. 31-45cm.

Ruby (H5) flowers, June-Sept., with grey-green foliage. Compact habit. A seedling from 'Tina'; raised when attempting, unsuccessfully, to cross E. cinerea 'Pink Ice' and E. tetralix 'Tina'; introduced by Lothar Denkewitz (Hamburg, Germany) in 1991. 'Samtpfötchen' is a sister-seedling. This cultivar has the deepest flowers of any E. tetralix cultivar. Ht. 21-25cm. Spd. 31-45cm.
Lilac pink (H11) flowers, Jul-Sep, with light green foliage. One of the better tetralix for flower although the flower colour is rather muddy. A very old cultivar dating back over 185 years. Ht. 21-25cm. Spd. 31-45cm.

Dusky rose pink flowers, Jul-Aug, with grey-green foliage. Seedling (from 'Tina'); raised by Lothar Denkewitz; introduced by L. Denkewitz in 1991. Like 'Riko', which flowers two weeks earlier, this arose from an intended (but unsuccessful) cross between E. cinerea 'Pink Ice' and E. tetralix 'Tina'. The name refers to the velvety corolla. Ht. 21-25cm. Spd. 31-45cm.

The flower buds are initially lilac pink, at right angles to the stem but they do not open and remain in bud, turning later to soft pink and point upwards, Jun-Sep with grey green foliage. Broad erect habit. Found just north of Odoorn in the Netherlands, it is named after a peat cutting tool. Ht. 21-25cm. Spd. 26-30cm.
Pale rose pink (H7) flowers, Jul-Sep, with green/yellow foliage deepening to a rich yellow with reddish tips in winter. This plant 'performs' best in exposed and harsh environments. Ht. 10-15cm. Spd. 26-30cm.
