A selection of photos we took at the SARS Euromeet on the weekend of 15th-16th June, 2002, near Arboga in Sweden. About 30 cars turned up (although we cheated and flew over this time), most were Swedish, also several from Finland and a couple from Norway. There was a cruise to and around the town of Arboga on the Friday evening, and we were honoured to be allowed to drive the blue AMC Matador X pictured below for this (remember Scaramanga's car in James Bond "The Man With The Golden Gun"? This time we were behind the Hornet though, and no Astro-spiral jumps over the river - there were plenty of bridges). It's believed to be the only Matador X in Sweden, so I was driving very carefully, despite the owner's attempts to get me to "gas it" in first gear to see just how powerful it was! I believe you! Anyway, we made it back safely and the sun blazed down for a glorious show day on Saturday. I managed to take a few photos in between judging the car exteriors and dodging the large Swedish flies which also turned up to feast on anyone who stood still for long enough! Didn't scare us off though. Lovely place, lovely cars, lots of fun. Big thanks to Ingmar and Lotte, and SARS for organising it all in the first place. Vi komme åter!
