The various regions of Turkey are shown on the map below.
We visited three of the Regions, Marmara, Aegean and Central Anatolian.
We flew over the Black Sea region as well but sadly did not see that area.
During our stay in Turkey there was an earthquake in the Marmara region.
We were very lucky and not affected as we were in the Aegean region at the time.

This map bears a maybe distorted but uncanny resemblance to the image of the partial
eclipse shown below. This was taken from Tattingstone in Suffolk UK by a friend and
