et in one of Scotland's most rugged and spectacularly beautiful glens, Dalnaglar
Castle was built around an 18th century hunting lodge. Years of patient effort
and ingenuity by the owners have restored the castle and gardens to provide
accommodation which is admirably suited to the requirements of our own
day. Dalnaglar Castle is built on a beautiful naturally elevated site in the heart of
Glenshee, above the flat water meadows of Shee Water, which meanders down
the wooded glen. The glen provides one of the main routes through the lower Grampians, leading
north to Braemar and Balmoral and south via Perth to Edinburgh, a mere
two hours away. No matter which direction you choose to travel in from Dalnaglar, you will find some of the most
spectacular mountain scenery in Scotland. The east wing of this castellated mansion house is available to let : it can accommodate up to 20 people. There are self-catering facilities, but catering and servicing can be arranged to suit your requirements. The minimum let is 2 days in the off-peak period and one week in season. The prices quoted will be for the whole wing which has 12 bedrooms and is not let out per bedroom as in hotels. |
