Crofthouse Museum
The Croft House Museum is situated in Dunrossness. This is a museum which shows what life was like living in a crofters house during the last century. The museum is in a beautiful setting overlooking the Dunrossness bay. The first photograph that you can see shows the interior of a croft house, as you can see it is very primitive but this doesn't mean that it was uncomfortable. As you can see there is a lot of furniture,as did most of the croft houses during that period. You can also see a spinning wheel, Shetlanders are very well known for their beautiful knitting. Their knitting provided an extra source of income.
The second picture just shows the Croft House Museum from a lovely view. As you can see it is very close to the sea. Fishing played a large role in Shetlanders life.
