Back from the pool at around half-past ten it was time perhaps for supper, but not for an early night. We actually had apple pies (I had two) after criticism that apple pies were always on the menu but never turned up in practice. So just for the record - we had apple pies OK? Next time I'll take a photo of one.
So what were the evening's entertainments? A clear sky and beautifully still night saw many people outside doing a spot of stargazing. We saw quite a few constellations, Jupiter, Saturn, the Moon and one or two meteors (shooting stars). Others preferred to stay inside and played a variant of "Spin The Bottle" called "Spin The Bottle With The Torch Shoved In It".
It looked quite mesmerising as it spun in the tilly-lit böd, although that doesn't really show in the photographs. Of course the torch wasn't really the highlight of this game was it!!!
You weren't there? You'll never know!
