Look at channel 40 in these last three surveys to see the effect of solar eclipses. Note that the duration of the eclipses is increasing.
Raw WOD (70K) Dated 19-March-1998. Channels 1 , 2, 3, 61 Magnetometers. Please note that unusual starting time for this survey is 16:00 UTC.
Raw WOD (76K) Dated 01-July-1998. Channels 1 , 2, 3, 61 Magnetometers. Please note that unusual starting time for this survey is 16:00 UTC.
This survey shows an unusually high spin period of about 640 seconds. Compare this with 980319W, which has the normal spin value of around 350 seconds. This was due to the spin counter having reached 1024, and stopped the spin correction pulses. See the status blocks at the end of the raw data file, for value of spin counter.
Raw WOD (55K) Dated 10-October-1998. Channels 1 , 2, 3, 61 Magnetometers.
Raw WOD (2K) Dated 04-January-1999. Channels 1 , 2, 3, 61 Magnetometers. This WOD was only transmitted for two days, and this data was captured from a single pass. Users can add their own captured data to complete the graph.
Raw WOD (45K) Dated 06-January-1999. Channels 10, 20, 30, 40 Solar Array Currents +Y, -X, +X, & voltage.
Raw WOD (45K) Dated 08-April-1999. Channels 39, 50, 52, 63 Telemetry Electronics temperature, Charge Current, Battery Voltage, BCR Status. Please note unusual starting time of 16:00 UTC.
Raw WOD (109K) Dated 15-July-1999. Channels 1, 2, 3, 61 (Magnetometers). This package contains two files 990715b.raw and 990715c.raw. The latter file was prepared from data captured by Jeff KB2WQM. Many thanks Jeff.
Users can combine the two files, by using the WOD software U2AWOD, available on this web site. Note the slower than usual spin rate, which was current at the time the survey was taken.
Raw WOD (19K) Dated 17-November-1999. Channels 1 , 2, 3, 61 Magnetometers. Please note the unusual starting time for this survey is 15:12:36 UTC. The file contains data captured upto and including 15 December. It will be updated when the survey is changed. The WOD shows a faster than usual spin rate, especially when compared with the previous WOD.
Raw WOD (88K) Dated 06-January-2000. Channels 10, 20, 30, 40 Solar Array Currents +Y, -X, +X, & voltage. Data collection was terminated after the WOD had been on the satellite for more than four months. File contains data collected from over 30 passes. Users should note that the date of the WOD survey in the status messages is incorrectly listed as 1999. Just for the record, after 26 February the curent date in the status messages was advanced by ONE day. This means that the data was actually co llected one day before that shown in the status messages. It won't affect the processing of the data, and was corrected by ground control at the beginning of June.
Raw WOD (57K) Dated 06-October-2000. Channels 1 , 2, 3, 61 Magnetometers. The WOD shows a faster than usual spin rate (period 207 seconds), at the time of capture.
Raw WOD (32K) Dated 06-January-2001. Channels 10, 20, 30, 40 Solar Array Currents +Y, -X, +X, & voltage. Data collection up to and including 24 february 2001.
The array voltage shows the effect of solar eclipses, the decrease of battery voltage during dark periods, constant voltage during charge, and overvoltage when the battery is fully charged.
Users should note that the date of the capture and date of WOD survey in the status messages is incorrectly listed as 2000. The observed eclipse times do not exactly coincide with predictions, indicating that there may be an error in the start time or date of this survey.
Raw WOD (67K) Dated 24-March-2001. Channels 1 , 2, 3, 61 Magnetometers. This contains data collected up to 20-June-2001, when collection was stopped.
Raw WOD (98K) Dated 16-August-2001. Channels 1 , 2, 3, 61 Magnetometers. This contains data collected up to 10-11-2001, when collection was stopped.
Raw WOD (38.2K) Dated 06-January-2002. Channels 10, 20,30, 40 Solar Array Currents +Y, -X, +X, & voltage. Data collection up to and including 25 March 2002, when collection of data was stopped.
Users should note that the date of the capture and date of this WOD survey in the status messages is incorrectly listed as 2001. There is also an error in the time of this survey due to satellite clock drift. A more accurate start time is 05-January-2002 23:49:30 UTC.
Raw WOD (54K) Dated 22-May-2002. Channels 1, 2, 3, 61 Magnetometers. This WOD shows an unusually slow rate of satellite rotation, ie. spin period of aboout 1800 seconds. Data collection up to and including 22 July 2002, when the WOD was last heard.
