We live on Earth, but ours is not the only Earth.
Quinn Mallory, Professor Maximilian Arturo, Rembrandt Brown, Wade Wells and Maggie
Beckett are travellers who have found a gateway between dimensions. A
way to "slide" from one parallel Earth to another, exploring worlds very
much like our own yet different in strange and surprising ways.
Each unpredictable slide takes them to a new dimension filled with
adventure, danger, discovery and wonder. Although the journey offers
its own rewards, the true goal they seek is a simple one: a way back
home.

PILOT, PT 1
|
Quinn Mallory, a physics graduate student, discovers the "Holy Grail of Physics" -
travel to parallel dimensions of the same Earth. Excited by what he's learned, Quinn
contacts his friend Wade Wells and Professor Arturo and the two of them travel through
the portal for what they think will be a four-hour journey. Turning the power too high,
they accidentally bring passer-by Rembrandt Brown with them.

were never discovered. Racing against time, they must find a cure and
escape before its too late.
|
LAST DAYS
|
The group travels to a parallel dimension where an asteroid is on a
collision course with earth, and Einstein never allowed nuclear weapons to
be created. With only 48 hours until "Doomsday" (and 72 hours until the
next slide), Arturo works feverishly with Bennish, an eccentric, yet
brilliant young scientist, to recreate Einstein's equation for the atomic
bomb - but will the atomic cure prove more deadly than an asteroid?

anarchy of homicide.
|
SUMMER OF LOVE
|
The Sliders find themselves in an Earth where San
Francisco is still inhabited by hippies from our 1960's - only here,
Oliver North is President, the U.S. is involved in a Vietnam-type war in
Australia and the flower children are under surveillance by the police.
Meanwhile, Rembrandt stumbles upon his childhood sweetheart and discovers
how a few decisions back home might have made his life been better - or
worse.
|
EGGHEADS
|
In this parallel dimension intellectuals
are revered above those with physical prowess. With the possibility that
this Earth's Quinn and Arturo have also unlocked the key to sliding, the
our Quinn and Arturo assume the identities of their doubles. Arturo
tries to repair the relationship with the love of his life while Quinn is
forced to compete in the scholarly equivalent of the Super Bowl.
|
THE WEAKER SEX
|
In this world, what we think of as traditional male and female roles are
reversed: men stay at home with the
children and do housework while the women have control of the corporate
and political sectors. Arturo, the group's most chauvinistic member, gets
a taste of how the "other half" lives and makes it a personal quest to
crusade on behalf of the "weaker sex" - his.

Brown is as big as Elvis, but after a mysterious "death"

fame as he becomes the target of the greedy and the obsessed of this
parallel Earth.

case, the ultimate price.

Rembrandt, both over thirty, are treated like second class citizens.

old love, Daelin, but is forced to leave her behind.
On the next world, Quinn tracks down an alternate
Daelin and discovers that she is trapped in an abusive relationship.
