M.A. in Politics and Contemporary History, Salford University; pass with distinction (1998). Included modules on the British intelligence services, Nazi Germany and collaboration and resistance in World War II.

Employment

From 1/1996 to 12/1998 I edited NEWS/400.uk (now iSeries NEWS UK), a monthly magazine for users of the IBM AS/400 computer platform.

Previously I was employed in IT for several years (systems design, data analysis, system administration).

Other information

I have worked at different times for the Socialist Society (Chair 1989-90), the fortnightly newspaper socialist (Books Editor 1992-3) and the magazine Red Pepper (Culture Editor 1998-2000).

I read Italian, French and Spanish.

Interests include music (contemporary and folk), visual arts, architecture.
