After two years of development BrightStar gliders is pleased to introduce its Class 2 hang glider design, the Millennium 150. The Millenium is a high performance aerodynamically controlled rigid wing hang glider that transports on top of your car like a flex wing and weighs only a few pounds more than a "topless" glider. When flown with an optional pilot fairing the Millennium achieves a 20:1 lift-to-drag ratio and 130 fpm sink rate. Just like our other design, the Swift, the Millennium pilot sits in a safer, more comfortable reclined position and flies the glider using a side-stick controller which actuates the elevons and moveable rudders. The rudders can be symmetrically deployed for glide slope control on landing using a seperate 'VG' cord.

The Millennium is the ideal choice of foot-launched flying machine for the intermediate through advanced pilot because it offers the best combination of safety, performance, convenience, and cost of any hang glider ever offered to the public. For the $9400.00 suggested retail price you get a hang glider that outglides any machine ever produced (except a Swift of course!) turns with the flick of a wrist and launches and lands more easily than a high performance flex wing. Assembly time is 10 minutes from glider bag to flight-ready because of a novel folding structure where all the ribs and controls remain attached to the wing. The Millennium is strong and stable, having been load tested to 10 g's. Its primary structure is made of Carbon/Kevlar composites, aluminum, steel, and dacron.
