LEAGUE TABLE MANAGER by Jason Kain. A program that will maintain league tables for up to eight divisions each of which can have 24 teams. It is intended for use with football but other tables using similar formats will be accommodated. COMPLETE LOTTERY by Jason Kain. An all in one reference and selection program for the National Lottery. It offers various options for selecting numbers and includes a syndicates section where numbers can be easily checked off against any draw you choose.

by Mike Kirsch. A National Lottery simulator that selects your numbers for you randomly, but which can then be run to provide some idea of your odds against winning. The program makes repeated lottery draws and matches them against the numbers you have selected. It can be a bit of an eye opener to our chances it took me the equivalent of 90 odd years to get five numbers right let alone six !

by J V Enterprises. A fun way to learn touch typing. Letters tumble down the screen towards your space craft and you have to blast them by typing the correct letter before they collide. ANOTHER LOTTERY NUMBER GENERATOR, by Sean R Murphy. A Lottery number selector program that gives you a little control over the way the numbers are ordered and picked and the style in which they are picked.

M192 TOUCH TYPE
by Philip Taylor. A program to teach and encourage touch typing. Phrases appear on screen and change to inverse video as you type each letter. each character typed gives out a tone when typed correctly indicating the speed at which it was typed. The object is to maintain a steady, error free typing rhythm whilst producing a more or less uniform tone.

by Peter Kerr, a program to quickly check your numbers in the National Lottery to see if you are the country's latest millionaire. Enter all your numbers into the program and save to disk, then on Saturday night enter the six winning numbers and the program will check them for you in a matter of seconds. It's only practical if you invest over £15 per week in the lottery. GEN208 by K. CROSSAN, a program which displays the percentage of the 'randomness' of numbers chosen, displays in table or graph form, very interesting. Also on the disk is a small LOTTERY program from L.A.P.D. to help you select any amount of lottery entries on a random basis.

by Timothy Lloyd. A simple STOS written database that allows you to set or amend field names and data. Two disks have been 'zipped' onto one and a copy of STZip is included for unpacking. The second disk includes a tutorial program.

M161 THE GARDENER
A gardeners database allowing you to keep a record of all your plantings along with a pictorial record. 'Search', 'browse' and 'amend' features are supported so you'll know exactly where you put that particular species. (This is a mono program but an emulator is supplied for use on colour monitors/TV's).

M160 BILOG, ETC. (F)
A mixture of programs including: BILOG, enter details from your cycle training and racing and the program will produce charts showing your progress. BMI, gives an opinion on your weight to height ratio. FOODBAR, a food nutrient guide. PREGNANCY CALCULATOR, gives an estimated date of delivery at it's simplest. It can be used in clinics to match patients to midwives. TRAVELLER, gives a distance between two points when the co-ordinates are known.

A mix of database programs, including: BDB, a database for storing book information. CINEMA, a film database. FIRST BASE, a simple database with many uses. SUPERCARD V1.3, a complete card index program from BWare that includes a sample database with information on over 2,000 drugs.

A selection of programs including: CONCORDANCE (1mb), A Bible study tool that includes sample scripture. BELL RINGING SIM., An instructional guide for campanologists. CLASS, a database cum spreadsheet for the use of teachers. PLAN. a critical plan analysis tool. RNUMBER, gives the date and place of registration for vehicle number. LONDON, converts old exchange telephone numbers into the relevant 071/081 number.

M157 TV TOONZ
Designed for those moments when you're asked 'what do you use your computer for?'. It plays 17 different TV theme tunes and asks you to guess them from multi-choice answers. It is a mono program but an emulator is supplied to run it on normal TV's and monitors.

by Paul Shelley. An accounts management program that will give you full control over regular transactions. This shareware version gives only limited usage but is well worth trying.

M155 ROUTE FINDER (S/W)
by Brian Henderson. An electronic map which can be used, along with the supplied maps on disk of Scotland, England, Wales and Britain, to find the shortest or quickest routes between two places. It will also avoid roads and places en route if you ask it to!

M153 WORLD WAR II (3 DISKS/£4.50)
At some point between the ages of 11 and 14 years pupils at Secondary schools will study the history of the Second World War. This package is designed to give some idea of life on the HOME FRONT during the war and contains numerous items of clip art/illustrations/cartoons that can be used in classroom worksheets.

M149 CORNER SHOP VIDEO
by Helpin'and. A demo version of a computer database for small corner shops that deal in video hire. The program does everything that the much more expensive programs used in dedicated video hire shops do, plus more. This demo version will handle 40 records.

M148 INVOICE MASTER V1.2 S/W
by Mick Austin. A simple to use customer/client database to produce invoices. The program uses drop-down menus and keyboard shortcuts. Various summaries can be quickly made from the information stored. The program can be of use to anyone wanting to produce an invoice but will be most useful to small businesses producing invoices which can be grouped together or who have a set of clients they deal with on a regular basis.

AWARDS: A good program that allows you to design and print award certificates for any purpose. ENTERTAINMENT FILES: If you have a bulging collection of CD's, videos, cassettes, etc. this program will allow you to catalogue them and keep track of what you have.

by Norma Wrangham. Full title, 'A fortnight in the life of a small planet. The great events of Biblical history laid out in 'days' of 1,000 years each which makes it easier to get everything into perspective. For instance, it's easier to remember that the flood occurred on the second Tuesday afternoon!

by Norma Wrangham. A general purpose learning and revision aid for either questions and answers or for learning passages by heart. Enter your own information to be tested on. There are some sample files created with Workout on the disk including a sample French study program.

by Neil Scrimgeour. A demo version of the follow up to the successful video titling program 'Video Master' which was released on the Budgie label. This version is fully functional except that the load and save functions are disabled. Add titles to your home videos.

M140 MATHS MIX D/S
MATRICKS is a linear algebra package for purposes of research and education. PLOT., a two dimensional plotting program running in high or medium resolution. SUB-CAL, the Math Machine - a calculator with extras. It will compute arithmetic expressions entered in human-readable form. NUMBER CONVERTOR, converts between binary, decimal and hexadecimal. TURING MACHINE SIMULATION, a simulation of a theoretical type of computer first described by mathematician Alan Turing in the 1930's. Also on this disk, but nothing to do with maths is a handy utility called CATALOG. It will display up to 80 files/folders on screen.

M139 BANK ACCOUNT MANAGER
by S.M. Taylor. Allows you to maintain details of up to 5 bank accounts, all of which are held im memory at the same time, allowing instant access. On a half megabyte machine each account may contain up to 500 transactions and 20 standing orders whilst on a one megabyte machine you'll get 2,000 transactions.

A Morse Code tutorial program by G.W. Butler. Practice and perfect your morse code sending and receiving skills.

M137 WORD FINDER V2.00
by B.P. Tilley. A word search program with options that include 'EWord Search'- searches for matches to incomplete word patterns. 'Anagram' - tries to find anagrams containing all letters in input text. 'Target' - Finds words conforming to rules of the Daily Express Target puzzle. 'All Anagrams' - inds all anagrams contained in input text, regardless of length. The program is fully working with a 42,000 word dictionary, but the 'add word' function is disabled.

by S.L. Bradshaw. A crossword designer for up to 15 x 15 grids with it's own dictionary. Searches can be made to find matches for whatever letters you already have present. Easy and quick to use.

M134 TALKING MESSAGE CREATOR
by Tony Greenwood. Allows you to input text files which will then be read and 'spoken' by the computer, whilst displaying a Degas or Neochrome picture.

M133 LITTLE BLACK BOOK
by Michael Lane. An address book with all the normal features to hold 150 records. Has the ability to dial a telephone number if your system has a modem.

M121 CADENZA ASTROCAL
A program that will produce a calendar for any given year containing times of sunrise, sunset, moonrise and moonset. Moon phases, solar and lunar eclipses, solstices and equinoxes. It will also generate a report of all lunar or solar eclipses for a range of years, planet viewing information for a specified year, etc., etc., etc.

M120 SIM CITY EDITORS.
Programs to allow you to adjust your 'Sim City' save game positions to suit yourself, i.e. to cheat! You can create a custom map, alter an existing map, change available funds, difficulty level or city name.

M119 BENJAMIN'S ABC D/S S/W
by C. Matthew Masserman. An alphabet training program for young children. Clicking on any of the 26 letters displayed on screen brings up a picture of an object whose name begins with that letter and a digitised voice says the name of the object. There are two voices, male and female.

M118 TEX DOCUMENT PROCESSOR ( 6 X D/S DISKS £9.00)
A six disk set which includes TEX the document processor and typesetting system. Comes with it's own programming language, handles graphics and equations with ease. 114 fonts in 28 styles. Full documentation is included on the disks. Be warned this program is very complicated and we suggest that only experienced users attempt to get to grips with it.

M117 TRIP-A-TRON D/S S/W
A light synthesiser from Jeff Minter's 'Llamatron'. It plays light instead of music and is not a sound-to-light system. There are many levels of functionality, from editing patterns on the control panel through to the mastery of the KML programming language. KML is an 8-channel parallel language which allows you to control all aspects of the light synth, configure the keyboard as you require, control remote machines and generate complete graphic animations. This is the shareware version of the program. It is complete but you will probably need the manual to understand all the features. This is available from Llamasoft when you register the program (£10.00)

This serious astronomy program allows you to display the 43 northern and equatorial constellations and provides information on almost 1600 objects. Useful features include a 'day/night' viewing mode plus a guide to where the constellations are in the sky. It has a minimum memory requirement of 1mb. Demos for 520and 1040 are provided.

A calendar program with a difference. It lets you attach 'events' to any day of the year, either by date or according to the day's position in the month. When the program loads it reads the date from your system clock and shows an alert if any significant events are scheduled for that day.

Written by Jeff Minter and originally released commercially at £15.00, Colour-space is a light synthesiser that allows its users to create flowing, iridescent graphic effects on screen, and if they wish, harmonise them to their favourite music. It is best played in a darkened room with the music volume well up. The results can be truly spectacular. As Jeff says, 'Your ears won't believe your eyes!'. The program has been released as shareware and if you like it you are asked to send £5.00 to the author. In return for this you will get the Llamasoft news- letter, 'The Nature of the Beast', PLUS the complete Colourspace manual AND a cool and spiffy sleeve for the disk.

This program contains a dictionary of 25,000 words, but for a larger 7,000 word dictionary see our disk M30. COMMON WORDS: This program will search your word files and inform you of commonly used words and their frequency.

BLOODWYCH CHARACTER EDITOR: With this little program you can edit your favourite character and equip him with what you wish. At the start of the game you can set all the attribute levels of your character, equip him with whatever you want including a full book of spells. You can even give him as many keys or crystals as you want to save him having to look for them. DUNGEONMASTER: A slideshow of scenes from one of the best games ever.

M14 PICS FROM SPACE
A picture show program that displays photographs taken by various weather satellites in orbit around the Earth. The disk also includes a satellite locator program and a program to decode images received from WEAtherFAX orbital satellites via your ST and the Maplin satellite receiving system.

M13 OPUS 2000
It has been said that if you want a good spreadsheet program you couldn't do better than choosing this one. It requires 1 meg of memory to run correctly. It appears to be an amazing piece of kit to be found in the PD sector. Don't delay, order today!

M12 STUDY
No fantastic exam results are promised with this program, but it may just give you the edge over the others. The program is intended to assist you in learning things more easily. An example file to teach you a bit of German is included. This is a mono program with an emulator supplied.

M11 FACE ANIMATOR
This program works a bit like a photofit kit. You can change facial characteristics at will and can also make up an animated sequence of the changes. This is a fun program. This is a mono program with an emulator supplied.

M 9 ASSORTED
ACCENT: Use this program to convert your boring old text files into different accents or even introduce a speech impediment. Files can be displayed on screen or printed. M 8 ASTRONOMY
ASTRONOMY & SKYMAP: Two programs for the technically minded sky watcher. Both are mono programs and an emulator is supplied.

M 7 HISTORY FILE
An educational program created with the STAC system. It is set around the village of Calder, near Edinburgh and you must solve the clues to discover the identity of the murderer. Whilst doing this you learn much about the sources of information available to the modern historian. This is an excellent program sup-plied on three single-sided disks for £4.50.

M 6 ASSORTED
STAR TREK: Numerous samples of digitised speech, characters voices and sounds, from the USS Enterprise. SPEAKTEX: Type in any line of text you choose and hear your ST read it back to you. MESSAGE WRITER: Make up your own scrolling message with this easy to use program. The message can be made to scroll vertically or horizontally.

M 5 2ND ST MANUAL
YOUR SECOND ATARI ST MANUAL: 250k of information in a text file to tell you things about your ST that the original manual forgot. TEMPUS: A demo of the handy text editor.

M 4 HOME ACCOUNTS NOT STE
This program is now too old to be useful. Look instead at disk PRO1 in the Budgie section which superseded it.

M 2 KIDSTUFF
KIDGRAPH: a pattern making and colouring program. KIDGRID: another colouring and pattern forming program. Finished screens in both the above programs may be saved to disk. KIDMUSIC: A selection of children's nursery rhymes. KIDNOTES: Follow the simple on screen help to play a few tunes. KIDPIANO: An easy to use piano or organ 'synth'. This is an excellent disk for introducing children to the ST. (*M16)

M 1 PLANETARIUM
PLANETARIUM: An excellent program which, once set up with the observers position and the time and date, will give the positions of stars, etc. It will also show positions of all the planets. There is a large data file with info on all the stars on screen. If you have any interest in the night sky, hen you must have this program. Easy to use.
